New and updated DevLabs extensions in the Visual Studio Team Services Marketplace

Microsoft DevLabs is an outlet for experiments from Microsoft, experiments that represent some of the latest ideas around developer tools. Solutions in this category are designed for broad usage, and you are encouraged to use and provide feedback on them; however, these extensions are not supported nor are any commitments made as to their longevity.

Since Connect last year, we have been busy creating new and updating extensions in the Visual Studio Team Services Marketplace.

Here’s a little bit about them…

	Countdown Widget Counts down to a configurable moment in time.		NEW
	File Owner Simplifies the process of determining ownership of a file.		NEW
	Folder Management Quickly create a folder in your Visual Studio Team Services source repositories from the web. No need to clone the repository locally or install extra tools.		UPDATED
	Print Cards Print cards from your backlog for use on a physical scrum board		UPDATED
	Sample Data Create sample data in your Team Services project.		NEW
	Show Area Path Dependencies Show area path dependencies a team has with other teams.		NEW
	Test Case Explorer Manage your test cases better. Find, filter, analyze usage of test cases, and more.		UPDATED
	TFVC Branch Hierarchy Visualization Visualize your TFVC branch hierarchies		NEW
	Work Item Visualization Visualize relationships between work items from within the work item form.		UPDATED

Other recent extensions and tooling solutions worth mentioning are:

• AAD OAuth2 provider for SonarQube
  This plug-in enables Azure Active Directory (AAD) users to automatically be sign up (a login is created if they don’t have one already) and authenticated on a SonarQube server.
• Migration of release management assets from RM server to VSTS
  Migrate assets from 2015 or 2013 U4 RM server to 2015 TFS server, and start using the Release hub in Team Web Access.
